Toku Ao (Health and Wellness): Knowledge of maintaining physical and mental health, including nutrition, exercise, and self-care practices.
Nga Tumanako o nga Manu supports Rangatahi in this journey by providing a dedicated Whanau Ora Navigator and health care worker who will assess their needs and facilitate personalized pathways to achieve holistic well-being, all within a framework that prioritizes Rangatahi voice and leadership.
Rangatahi will learn through Purakau, karakia and tikanga, necessary tools to cope with and work through emotions, stress and grief and anger.
Wellbeing Enhancement Service
Whai Oranga (Career pathways): Skills such as resume writing, job searching, and interview techniques help Rangatahi secure and succeed in employment.
Whanau Ora Navigator will guide them through the process of finding suitable job opportunities and enrolling in training programs that align with their career goals.
Pena Pena Putea (Financial Literacy)
Rangatahi will learn how to manage their finances, how to budget and save their putea. Rangatahi will be exposed to experts in finance and budgeting, savings and investments, insurance and goal planning. Rangatahi will have day to day responsibilities of managing finances for their roopu to give to expose them to real life scenarios.
Empowerment Programme
Te Reo Rangatira (Communication Skills): Effective verbal and written communication are essential for personal and professional relationships.
Rangatahi will become confident in hosting and participating in the powhiri ceremony, learning and performing whaikorero, karanga, waiata and tikanga. Rangatahi will be guided by knowledgeable Pou and Kaumatua, Rangatahi will perform on the safety of local marae where they will host their graduation powhiri and welcome their whanau to celebrate their success.
Waikatotanga: Rangatahi will attend local tribal events such as Poukai to expose them to their culture, history and opportunities within the community and Tribe.
