Nga Tumanako o nga Manu is a kaupapa that aims to expose Rangatahi to kaupapa Tainui, their community and opportunities available to them with the guidance of Pou (Educators) passionate about empowering, healing and nurturing Rangatahi, Our plan is to provide a fun, educational program that connects Rangatahi whilst providing individualized plans that support every Rangatahi’s wellbeing and health. Rangatahi will gain in-depth knowledge of their culture, maara kai, navigation and traditional cultural practices, financial literacy,basic life skills they will learn the power of their voice and how they can plan for their future as they transition into a life of independence. Tipi Haere will include field trips to significant landmarks for Tainui people throughout history, on the land, sea and awa (river).
